Drink your way to health with just 1 more glass of water!
Your body is made up of 50-75% water. Water is required for most body functions! Now the University of Illinois has found that drinking 1 more glass of water can have huge effects on your health!
New research from the University of Illinois found that upping the amount of plain water you drink by one percentage point reduces the amount of calories, sugar, sodium and cholesterol that you consume!
Researchers analysed data from 18,311 adults in a National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey that ran from 2005 to 2012. They found that the average adult consumed 4.2 cups of water. Increasing this by one percentage point resulted in eating 8.58 fewer calories, 0.74 fewer grams of sugar, 9.8 fewer milligrams of sodium and 0.88 fewer grams of cholesterol.
Add a whole extra glass, two or three and the numbers start to get exciting: 205 fewer calories, 18 fewer grams of sugar, 235 fewer milligrams of sodium and 21 fewer grams of cholesterol.
